Dans cet article, Catherine Vialle s’intéresse à la double attribution du livre de l’Ecclésiaste à Qohéleth et au roi Salomon. Elle examine la façon dont fonctionne cette double attribution sur le plan du paratexte, à la fois dans le canon massorétique et dans celui de la Septante. L’auteur envisage la caractérisation du personnage de Qohéleth à l’intérieur du livre éponyme, puis celle du personnage de Salomon dans l’Ancien Testament, cherchant d’une part à éluder en quoi l’identification de Qohéleth à Salomon constitue une clé de lecture du livre de l’Ecclésiaste et d’autre part à évaluer l’impact de l’attribution de ce livre sur la caractérisation du personnage de Salomon.
Here the author examines the way in which attributing the book of Ecclesiastes to both Kohelet and to King Solomon functions for the paratext, both in the Massoretic Text and in the Septuagint. By characterising Kohelet inside the book of Kohelet and Solomon in the Old Testament, the author studies how the identification of Kohelet to Solomon functions as a key to reading the book of Ecclesiastes and what the impact of attributing this book is on the characterisation of Solomon.
